【 摘 要 】
The association between ABO and Rh blood groups and the incidence of various types of cancers has been previouslyinvestigated, but with no definite consensus reached. Since lung cancer has become one of the most leading causes ofcancer-related deaths, its relation to ABO/Rh is being investigated in many centers. To explore the relationship betweenABO and Rh blood groups and the risk of lung cancer. A case control study was conducted to explore the relationshipbetween blood groups/Rh factor and the risk of lung cancer. Lung cancer cases (n=458) were identified from two majoruniversity hospitals. Control subjects included a total of 3,847 patients in which none is a cancer patient. ABO and Rh bloodgroups were typed and compared between cases and controls. The adjusted effect of Rh, but not ABO blood group, wassignificantly associated with the risk of lung cancer. The results of this study showed that Rh positive subjects are morelikely to have lung cancer than the Rh negative subjects, indicating an association between Rh positivity and the risk of lungcancer. The Rh factor showed a significant association with lung cancer, but not with ABO blood groups. Further studies areneeded to investigate this association to determine the role of Rh in the development of lung cancer.
