【 摘 要 】
This paper presents how a multicore architecture can be improved with selective load valueprediction. We integrated into the Sniper multicore simulator a small and fast per-core load valueprediction table which keeps the long latency load instructions and their last result values, in order topredict the next values on further executions, unlocking thus in a speculative manner the subsequentdependent instructions. The evaluations have been done on the Splash-2 parallel benchmarks andshown an average speedup of about 4% and 1.25% energy consumption reduction.
