【 摘 要 】
To investigate particle size effect on the photocatalytic activity of BiFeO3 (BFO), phase pure BFO particles with different average grain sizes were prepared by using facile sol gel route. The X-ray diffraction, Scanning electron microscopy, photoelectron spectroscopy and UV-vis-NIR spectroscopy measurements were used to analyze the as prepared BFO particles. The photocatalytic activities of as-prepared BFO particles were analyzed by the photodegradation of model Rhodamine B(RhB) pollutant under visible light irradiation. The analysis show that crystal defects and surface area plays major role in photocatalytic degradation. In present case BFO particles with average grain size 190 nm has shown better catalytic activity towards degradation of RhB pollutant.
