【 摘 要 】
Ilya Prigogine, the Russian-Belgian scientist who receivedNobel Prize for his research in the field ofchemical thermodynamics in 1977, coined a muchdiscussed and debated phrase, that of ‘dissipativestructures’. Such structures emerge in far from equilibriumsystems and are able to form spatially or temporallyordered structures from the previously chaoticstate of the same system. As described in his famousand popular book (Order out of Chaos, co-authoredby I. Stengers, ISBN-10 0553343637) dissipativestructures are formed spontaneously by large scalefluctuations and the properties of the resulting orderedsystems are presumably determined (or at leastinfluenced) by the peripheral conditions.
