【 摘 要 】

The first hyperbaric chamber for clinical purposes in Clinical Hospital Center Rijeka was open at the end of 2016, almost 25 years after the first Croatian List of indications for hyperbaric oxygenation (HBO2T) was published in the local medical journal "Medicina". In that period, various educational modalities, popularization efforts and opportunities of work with an experimental hyperbaric chamber haven't resulted in a greater number of publications in this scientific field and thus neither in a more evident interest for the method amongst clinical specialists. HBO2T should be made cheaper and more available to all the patients oriented towards Rijeka. Current Croatian List of indications should be edited to meet the recommendations set forth by the European consensus list for HBO2T.
