【 摘 要 】

The importance of the superior permanent canines form a functional part when chewing the food and the aesthetic part in the smooth transition between the anterior and posterior segment of the dental arch. Its eruptive trajectory because it is more delayed than that of the other teeth predisposes to interferences that can lead to its impaction. The object of this article is to provide the auxiliaries employed for the traction of a canine upper in a vertical direction. The clinical case of a female patient of 14 years of age, treated at the Mexican Institute of Orthodontics Leon, Gto, Mexico with a straight profile, presents a severe dolicofacial biotype, Class I intermaxillary relationship, and neutral growth direction. Denture presents mixed dentition by the presence of the dental organ 63. The reason for consultation was "I have a milk fang", the objective of treatment was to lead to occlusion and to achieve canine class I of 23. Methodology: Extraction of the 63 and surgical flap As well as button placement on the dental organ 23 for vertical traction of the latter with metallic ligation. Conclusion: The alignment and leveling of the 23 was obtained obtaining canine class I.
