【 摘 要 】

The aim of the article is to present an overview on selected aspects of modern distribution of bibliographic metadata. The data can be created locally asoriginal cataloguingor can be formed in external sources and acquired bycopy cataloguing– a free exchange on the basis of co-cataloging or a paid subscription or purchase. The author presented the aspects connected to bibliographic description and its quality. The aspects of model phrases and subject characteristics are beyond the scope of this article.
