【 摘 要 】

The article describes the use of Web 2.0 tools by the Bialystok University Library. Social media are the most popular of them and became a way to communicate with a user, to build the image of the institution and to perform an educational and cultural mission. The key role here is played by Facebook, Instagram and blog. The adopted strategy has produced satisfactory outcome. Through social media, it is possible to reach out to the present and acquire new library users. However, you still need to look for further ways to keep your audience interested, tailored to their needs.
