HIF1Aisatranscriptionfactorthatplaysacentralrolefortheadaptationtotissuehypoxiaandfortheinflammatoryresponseofmyeloidcells,includingDCs.HIF1AisstabilizedbyhypoxiabutalsobyTLRligandsundernormoxicconditions.TheunderlyingsignalingeventsleadingtotheaccumulationofHIF1Ainthepresenceofoxygenarestillpoorlyunderstood.Here,weshowthatincontrasttohypoxicstabilizationofHIF1A,normoxic,TLR‐mediatedHIF1AaccumulationinDCsfollowsadifferentpathwaythatpredominantlyrequiresMYD88‐dependentNF‐κBactivity.TheTLR‐inducedHIF1Acontrolsasubsetofproinflammatorygenesthatareinsufficientlyinducedfollowinghypoxia‐mediatedHIF1Ainduction.Thus,TLRactivationandhypoxiastabilizeHIF1Aviadistinctsignalingpathways,resultingindifferentialHIF1A‐dependentgeneexpression...
