【 摘 要 】
Thisstudywasconductedtoevaluatephagocytefunctioninpatientswithage‐relatedchronicinflammatoryconditions.Itincluded95patientswithPMR,17withGCA,40withEORA,and25age‐matchedHCs.SerumIL‐8wasdeterminedwithabeadarray.Thechemotacticcapacity,phagocyticability,andoxidativeburstactivityofcirculatingleukocytesweredeterminedwithflowcytometrykits.PatientswithactivechronicinflammatorydiseasesshowedasignificantincreaseincirculatinglevelsofIL‐8thatremainedelevatedinpatientswithPMRorEORA,despitetreatment.NocorrelationwasfoundbetweencirculatingIL‐8andthemigratotycapacityofneutrophils.NeutrophilsfrompatientswithactiveEORAwithoutstimulusandafterfMLPstimulishowedahighercapacitytomigratethanthoseoftheHCs(P=0.033).ThephagocyticactivityofgranulocytesinthepatientswithGCAwassignificantlyhigherthanintheHCsandthepatientswithPMRorEORA(P<0.05).ThepercentageandMFIofphagocytesthatproduceROIswhenstimulatedwithEscherichiacoliwassignificantlyreducedinneutrophilsandmonocytesfromthepatientswithage‐restrictedinflammatoryconditions.Weconcludedthattheeffectorfunctionsofphagocytes,determinedtobechemotaxis,phagocytosis,andoxidativeburst,arederegulatedinage‐restrictedinflammatorydisordersandmayhaveapathogenicrole...
