【 摘 要 】
Religionsdidaktikk: En innføring (2nd ed., 2016) by Bengt-Ove Andreassen is a book on religious education didactics widely used in teacher education programs in Norway. A major strength of the book is the way it makes future teachers aware of Christianity’s hegemonic role in understanding other religions. A more problematic aspect of the book is its inability to show how an analytical outside perspective may be constructed in practice. The book also falls short in offering concrete guidance in how it is possible to address controversial issues in the classroom. Finally, this essay finds that Andreassen expresses an understanding of learning which ironically correlates with the theological religious education he criticizes. The essay argues that religious education should be understood as a broad pluralistic research discipline investigating how religion is enacted and learnt across the borders of both schools and religious communities.
