Intravenous epoprostenol (Flolan®; GlaxoSmithKline, and Veletri®; Actelion) and treprostinil (Remodulin; United Therapeutics) are continuous intravenous medications used in the most advanced cases of PAH. Dose changes are made in minute increments and sudden increases or decreases in the dose can be life-threatening.
