【 摘 要 】

Rasapathagam is one of the major component in the preparation of ‘Kodasuri veera vaippu’, which is a unique formulation used to cure arthritis in sidha medical practice. As this study is based on Indian system of medicine i.e. Siddha, both traditional as well as chemical studies were deeply explored to find out the validity, composition, effectiveness and safety of the drug used. The present study deals with the physio- chemical analyses of Rasapathagam. SEM, EDX, FTIR and ICP methods were followed to analyze qualitative and quantitative characters of Rasapathagam.
