【 摘 要 】

 The genus name Amicus Tschigova, 1977 (Ostracoda) represents a junior homonym of Amicus Koroleva, 1967 (Trilobita). Tschigovana is proposed as a new substitutional name. There are reasons that Tschigovana complanata (Kummerow, 1939) should now function as the type species, and not Tschigovana primaris (Tschigova, 1977)
