【 摘 要 】
Dental alterations are congenital malformations that occur in teeth as a result of a matrix malformation, calcification or the dental germ; they goes from anomalies of shape, size and number; to structural and eruptive anomalies. The restlessness of this research arises when observing a lot of dental alterations clinically diagnosed in pemones children and teenagers in the indigenous community of Kavanayen, being the general objective: Knowing the most frequent in patiens between 8 and 14 years old in that community. This is a field investigation, with descriptive model and non experimental design. An observation guide was applied to 123 children, which 13,01% presents some type of dental alteration clinically observed; with more predilection towards the masculine gender with 68,75%; and from highest to lowest incidence were observed supernumerary teeth (25%), invaginations (17,75%), microdontia (12,5%), conical teeth (12,5%), fusion (12,5%), evagination (6,25%), hypoplasia (6,25%) and fluorosis (6,25%).
