【 摘 要 】
The microwaveoven became an important source of heating for many laboratory procedures includingaccelerating organic reactions. Reactions that require long reflux times cansometimes be carried out in a few hours or minutes in a conventional microwaveoven. However, longer reflux times can be troublesome since domestic microwaveovens are not prepared for these harsh conditions. This technical note presentsour finding on heterogeneous catalysis transesterification reactions betweenb-keto-esters and carbohydrate derivatives under heating or microwave irradiationusing an adapted domestic microwave oven.
