【 摘 要 】

Tannins are compoundsof great interest in chemistry and ecology. They have various effects on fooddigestibility and the performance of animals. In this work, the chemistry, thebiological activity and the ecology of tannins are examined. A brief discussionof several analytical methods for the determination of tannins is presented.
