【 摘 要 】

Norwegian comics artists Lars Fiske and Steffen Kverneland have long collaborated on various artist biographies in comics form. I examine what their method is and argue that they employ a double strategy of re-tracing to discuss their subjects – one related to place, another one aesthetic, although the two are tightly intertwined in their work. This allows them to work with objective and subjective perspectives of the portrayed artist’s life and work; be that Kurt Schwitters, Olaf Gulbransson or Edvard Munch.
