【 摘 要 】

A silica supported orthophosphoric acid catalyst (H3PO4. SiO2) was prepared by stirring silica gel (100–200mesh) with orthophosphoric acid in chloroform at room temperature. The catalyst was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersion analytical X-ray (EDX). It demonstrated excellent activity, chemoselectivity, and recyclability for oxathioacetalization of aldehydes.
