【 摘 要 】

The objective of this paper is to study the effect of governance and povrety on economic growth of a set ofeightdeveloping countriesduring theperiod 2000-2009,usingadynamic and static paneldata model andasimultaneous equations model. Thekey findingsgenerated from thesethree empirical tests stipulate a negative effect of governance on povrety and a positive effect of political instability and corruption on poverty.
