【 摘 要 】
The architecture in a differentiated services (DiffServ)network is based on a simple model that applies a per-classservice in the core node of the network. However, becausethe network behavior is simple, the network structure andprovisioning is complicated. If a service provider wantsdynamic provisioning or a better bandwidth guarantee, thedifferentiated services network must use a signalingprotocol with QoS parameters or an admission controlmethod. Unfortunately, these methods increase thecomplexity. To overcome the problems with complexity, weinvestigated scalable dynamic provisioning for admissioncontrol in DiffServ networks. We propose a new scalableqDPM2 mechanism based on a centralized bandwidthbroker and distributed measurement-based admissioncontrol and movable boundary bandwidth management tosupport heterogeneous QoS requirements in DiffServnetworks.
