【 摘 要 】

The additives, most often used for modifying the structure of different binders, are considered in this article. However, their influence on the properties of magnesium composites based on sulfate activators has not been studied enough. It was found that the iron content of the additives makes it possible to improve the structure of the sulfomagnesium stone and reduce its hygroscopicity. Due to the cation exchange between iron and magnesium, iron cations can be included into the structure of the magnesium stone, forming new non-hygroscopic hydrate phases. This process takes place after 3 days of the magnesium stone hardening. In addition, the use of iron-containing additives makes it possible to increase the water resistance of such stone due to the ability of metal cations to be adsorbed on the surface of sparingly soluble magnesium hydrogensulfates. This way the surface area, capable of adsorbing water molecules, is reduced.
