【 摘 要 】

The paper describes a method and a device for monitoring the temperature and diameter of an extended cylindrical object in the higherature manufacturing process, such as hot rolling, die-less drawing, etc. The proposed integrated approach based on optical phenomena, such as Fresnel diffraction, makes it possible to monitor parameters of the heated object both on a focused and a defocused image with high measurement accuracy.
