【 摘 要 】
The primary objective of this article was to obtain the performance of a solar adsorption refrigeration system using a mixtures adsorbent. The experiments were carried out under real solar irradiance conditions from 08.00 WIB until 08.00 WIB the next day local time in Medan city in November 2017 during seven cycles. Both coefficients of performance (COP) and specific cooling power (SCP) were calculated according to experimental data to analyze the operation of the refrigerator. Theoretical calculations show that the COP values to be in the range 0.0770-0.1003 and the SCP values 31.895-34.103 W/kg. The experimental result obtained that the cooling effect of the evaporator temperature of 4.16°C when the daily global irradiance lies between 11.245-17.156 MJ/m2.
