【 摘 要 】
The excessive vibrations of the steel footbridges can be an important problem during the verification of the requirements of the serviceability limit state of these structures. In the paper the issues of dynamic characteristics and dynamic behaviour of the steel footbridges on the basis of the results of the field tests and numerical analyses of the four single span steel footbridges with spatial pipe truss girders and span length from 30 to 50 m were presented. The dynamic properties of the structures (stiffness, mass, damping) were characterized and the dynamic response of the structures was studied. Results of the analyses and researches showing, in most cases, a very high dynamic susceptibility of the structures subjected to dynamic loads from slow running (jogging) users, mainly due to the very low damping value, which is important parameter affecting the vibration amplitudes.
