【 摘 要 】
Time based fracture is a material failure phenomenon in industrial components which are under stress over a long period of time. In this work an attempt is made to numerically model this time based fracture corresponding to industrial components made of P92 steel thereby providing solutions to structural integrity using the commercial code of ABAQUS®. As such benchmark problems in pure Mode I, viz. a compact test Specimen C(T) was modelled using static and viscoelastic analysis and fracture parameter J & C∗ were evaluated respectively. The results were compared with experimental results from literature revealing a good agreement between them, thereby validating the FE model. The knowledge gained from this quest is proposed to be further extended to industrial components prone to time based fracture like pressure vessels and pipes.【 预 览 】
