【 摘 要 】
Implants primarily use Titanium or its alloys. These alloys are biologically inert to living cells. These metal implants has key issues such huge difference elastic moduli of a metal implant and bone tissue which demands a compatible system between these two, absence stable and reliable chemical compound between implant and bone tissue for biological integration. These two issues can be effectively dealt with intermediate coating of suitable elastic modulus and also biologically active. The aim of the present work is to discuss briefly various synthesis and coating methods of bioactive glass and the key issues in this area.
