【 摘 要 】
Hybrid polymer electrolyte hydrogels were developed from poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and tetraethyleorthosilicate (TEOS) through hydrolysis and condensation reaction. The ratio of TEOS to PVA was varied at 10, 20, 30, and 40 mass% and the resulting hydrogels were designated as S-1, S-2, S-3 and S-4 respectively. The chemical reaction between PVA and TEOS was confirmed using FTIR. After studying the specific gravity of polymer electrolyte hydrogels, efficiency of battery containing polymer electrolyte hydrogels was studied using custom made battery testing unit. The experimental values demonstrated that polymer electrolyte containing 40% tetraethyleorthosilicate showed better charge holding and retention capacity.
