【 摘 要 】

In this paper, the effect of presence of ripple on the cosh-Gaussian beam in collisionless plasma considering relativistic nonlinearity is investigated. Using the Wentzel Kramers Brillouin (WKB) paraxial-ray approximation method and eikonal method, the basic sets of equations has been derived. It is observed that when the initial power of the ripple is greater than the critical power for self-focusing of cosh-Gaussian beam the ripple gets focused over the beam.
