【 摘 要 】

The COMET experiment will search for the charged lepton flavour violating process μ-+ N(Z,A) → e-+ N(Z,A) in Al with a single event sensitivity of 3 × 10-17. This will be a four orders of magnitude improvement on the current limit set by SINDRUM-II in Au. The design, R&D and construction of COMET are all well underway and described here is an update on the current status of the experiment.
