【 摘 要 】
The photoionization cross sections of the excited levels (3s3p3P0,1,2) of atomic Mg are calculated theoretically using both the nonrelativistic and fully relativistic R-matrix methods. The big discrepancies (a factor of about 3), which exists between theoretical and former experimental determinations, urges us to make additional measurements of the photoionization cross sections for the excited states of Mg.
