【 摘 要 】

The photodissociation of the monoanions of chlorophylls a and b was studied using an electrostatic storage ring. The number of neutral particles produced by photodissociation was measured as a function of time. Two components with short and long lifetimes were observed in the neutral spectra. It is shown that the slow component was due to one-photon excitation whereas the fast component was due to two-photon excitation. The wavelength spectra were markedly different from those of the chlorophylls in the solution phase.
