【 摘 要 】
The top quark is the heaviest elementary particle known, with a mass close to electroweak symmetry breaking energy scale. Because of this, its dynamics can be very sensitive to new physics effects. In this work we study the one-loop effects of a fifth spatial dimension on the strong couplings for the rare t → cg decay. The analysis is done in the context of the standard model in five dimensions, with the fifth coordinate compactificated on the orbifold S1/Z2of radius R.
