【 摘 要 】

To investigate degradation process due to radicals in fuel cell membrane by means of positron annihilation spectroscopy, three kinds of radicals, HO, H and O2are produced through water radiolysis. The results show that the cluster structure and proton conductivity was greatly affected by reductive radicals. This is because the oxidative radical is responsible for the dissociation of sulfonic group, whereas the reductive radical breaks down the cluster in the membrane and disrupts proton conduction, which is consistent with solution analysis.
