【 摘 要 】

The turbulence closure is a crucial part of a lake model. The closures commonly used are different in underlying physics and mathematical properties, leading to contrasting numerical stability and computational efficiency. We tested the performance of the one-dimensional model LAKE using the k -closure and Henderson-Sellers turbulence parameterizations, with a convective mixing scheme, in idealized Kato-Phillips experiment and Lake Kuivajärvi (Finland) simulations.
