【 摘 要 】

In this paper the experimental results of compact air-independent engine test for underwater object are presented. The proposed engine exploit a combustion of gas-free metallized fuel from the bulk solid state. The usage of solid-state fuel reduces its cost, facilitates the storage and refuel operation, increases fuel mass density and safety. In the proposed setup the main combustible is aluminum, the main oxidant is oxygen, though the secondary oxidants (the oxides of other more inert metals) could reduce the required oxygen volume aboard.
