【 摘 要 】
Centrifugal process compressors consume huge amount of energy. The gas dynamic design methods are based on physical and numerical experiments. The methods improvement is an actual task. The theory of subsonic axial compressors is based on the results of wind tunnel tests of straight blade cascades. The modern trend is to substitute physical experiments with CFD calculations. There is positive experience of vaneless diffuser virtual wind tunnel test results (CFD calculations) that are inserted in the math model for compressor characteristic simulation. CFD calculations of vane diffusers also can be used to improve math model of a centrifugal stage but the calculation technology is more complicated. The Authors have investigated the problem and propose rational solution.
