The purpose of the invention is to provide a new type of rotary paddle switch which can be used to measure the material level in large area and to monitor the material level in the cylinder. It includes driving and measuring devices and racks; Driving device tansmits the motor's input torque to different space position; The measuring device is equipped with position sensors to observe the times of rotating inside and outside the bearing and output the signal to the computer; The longer measuring device and the shorter measuring device each measure a plane; The frame is made up of two parallel and concentric metal discs, which are used to install driving device and measuring device.The beneficial effect of this invention:the measurement of material level in large range is realized, and the monitoring of the material level in the cylinder is satisfied; It has advantages of high degree of automation.
