【 摘 要 】
Nowaday, the wireless sensor network is considered the most applicable standards for monitoring and controlling in the smart building system. Optimization of electrical energy availability that relates to energy consumption has to consider power factor. To increase the power factor by adjusting the phase angle and triggering by capacitors. This system integrates the deployment of a wireless sensor network for data communication hence ease in system implementation. The end device that use to improve the power factor of electrical is using microcontroller besides the sensor. The sensors sense the current, the voltage and also detect the phase deviation between both of them. The microcontroller adjusted the decision to turn on the capacitors as of it reduced the phase angle. As we know that power factor denotes the cosine value of the phase angle. Setting the phase angle enlarges power factor so that it can optimize the electrical power that can be used. Based on the result of the experiment prove that the power factor optimization circuit that integrates zero crossing detector and microcontroller and binary input controlled by handheld via wireless network raised up the power factor value. In the graph illustrating the capacitance of the capacitor used is proportional to the increase in power factor.
