【 摘 要 】

This paper describes the development of the Driver Ergonomic Risk Assessment (DERA) and provides the reader with information about participative approach adopted and the scientific foundation that underpins its use in the workplace. This research proposes two phase methodology used for the development and evaluation of DERA, including prototype design in the phase 1 and verification test in the phase 2. The three group factors including individual factors, physical factors, and psychosocial factors are utilized to assess the risk associated with the professional driver. This research reveals that DERA is necessary in prompting improvements and evaluating the benefits (level risk reduction of WMSD risk factors) by providing a structured process to prioritize the need of change.
