【 摘 要 】

This paper describes a comprehensive solution for the integrationof object oriented ontology representation frameworks withlogic-based agent communication frameworks. The proposedsolution addresses the problem at both the agent communicationlevel and the agent implementation level. At the agentcommunication level, we propose to extend logic contentlanguages with some domain independent operators that allowbuilding logic constructs as propositions from domain dependententities defined in an object oriented ontology. At theimplementation level, we propose to use object-oriented databasesas the support for the agent information. Finally, we propose anautomatic mechanism for translating agent messages using theextended content language into ODMG OQL commands, whichare then used to interact with the object-oriented database. Thisbinding mechanism relies on a special purpose data dictionaryrepresenting the mapping between the domain ontology and theagent internal database.
