Disaster management increasingly depends on various information systems. Interoperability among these systems is necessary, especially duringdisaster response. Despite extensive efforts on semantic interoperability, thereexist serious challenges in exchange of critical information in this domain. Thisresearch highlights some of these challenges and explores various paths toadvance the existing approaches.
