It is a pleasure to be here. I was here a few years ago. I have lots of new things to talk to you aboutwhat's going on at the USGS in general and particularly in relation to water. The USGS is about 130 years old. It is a federal agency. It is strictly a science agency. We do not manage or regulate. We try to provide information that people need to manage and protect our nation's resources, in this case, water.
