【 摘 要 】
Background: The aim was to predict breeding values of non-ph enoty ped in dividuals ba sed on a da taset prepar for the 13th QT L-MAS Work shop in Wageni ngen. Met hods:Genetic co-varian ce matrices betw een animal s were estimat ed with thre e method s: one using pedigre informa tion only and two bas ed on SNP markers from the first chromo some. Quadrat ic regressi on of bree ding value s, estimate d separately in ea ch of the five time poin ts, was used to predict the bree ding value s in the 6th time point. Results: Base d on the compa rison (true - estimate d BV) it can be conclud ed that SNP based me thods provide d bette r estimate s (accu racy between 0.75 and 0.80 ) than pedigre e (0.65).Conclusions : Even though only SNPs from chro mosome 1 were used it was still possible to ach ieve fairl y high accura cies. Mo st like ly this was due to the fact that chrom osome 1 contained the QTLs with the large st ef fects.[First Paragraph]
