【 摘 要 】
The Dagstuhl Seminar on Computational Proteomics broughttogether researchers from computer science and from proteomics todiscuss the state of the art and future developments at the interfacebetween experiment and theory. This interdisciplinary exchangecovered a wide range of topics, from new experimental methodsresulting in more complex data we will have to expect in the futureto purely theoretical studies of what level of experimental accuracyis required in order to solve certain problems. A particular focus wasalso on the application side, where the participants discussed morecomplex experimental methodologies that are enabled by moresophisticated computational techniques. Quantitative aspects ofprotein expression analysis as well as posttranslationalmodifications in the context of disease development and diagnosiswere discussed. The seminar sparked a number of new ideas andcollaborations and resulted in joint grant applications and publications.
