【 摘 要 】
In this study, PIV measurements of flow past finiteblunt plates with lengthtothickness ratio /L D = 3, 6, and 9were performed in a low speed water channel. TheReynolds number was 1000DRe = based on the plate’sthickness, D. Detailed examination of the flow past finiteblunt plates with different lengthtothickness ratiosdisplayed different flow characteristics. The large scalestructures were found to make great contribution to theunsteadiness of the flow. Proper orthogonal decomposition(POD) analysis using 500 realizations of PIV velocity fields
